Recycling and Circular Economy in Practice

At Thermoplastiki, our mission is to protect and care for people and the environment every day. How do we achieve this? By pioneering the manufacturing and production of high-quality products that are built to stand the test of time.

By consistently following the principles of the Circular Economy, we create comprehensive solutions with added value, minimizing waste generation and promoting sustainable development. Every year, we send hundreds of tons of materials for recycling, actively contributing to the reduction of our environmental and energy footprint.

Our commitment to recycling extends to every material used in our production process:

Production residues are collected in special containers and sent to the German company Dekura, which specializes in recycling these materials. There, the materials are recycled at a 100% rate. At the same time, TPE rubber, which is used as a sealing material in doors and windows, is also fully recycled.

Glass fragments from the production process are collected in metal containers. In cooperation with Saint-Gobain, they are sent to Romania, where they are reused through a 100% recycling process.

From the very first stage of production, both Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) are fully recycled, including all the dust generated during the process.

• The dust is processed through a specialized compression machine (Compactor).
• The final product is recycled through a melting process.

All EPS residues are compressed into briquettes using the compactor. These are then sent to a certified recycling partner, where they are recycled at a 100% rate and reintroduced into the production cycle as raw material.

In cooperation with a local recycling company, the paper and plastic packaging materials we use are collected and recycled at a 100% rate.

At the same time, we have integrated environmental awareness into the daily lives of our people, promoting recycling in our workplaces of office supplies, batteries, and other materials through the Blue Bins across our workplaces.

Our commitment to responsibility is not just a promise — it is demonstrated through internationally recognized certifications:

• ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System): through the certified ELOT EN ISO 14001:2015 system, we ensure that every stage of our production process operates with the utmost respect for the ecosystem.
• EPD (Environmental Product Declaration): EPDs are the “sustainability identity” of our products. They allow us to monitor, transparently measure, and continuously improve the environmental footprint of every product we deliver to our customers.

2025 was an important year for Thermoplastiki, as we diverted substantial quantities of materials from landfill disposal. During the year, we recycled:

• 275 tons of steel-aluminum scrap, uPVC, and fiberglass
• 213 tons of glass scrap
• 25 tons of EXP and XPS residues and dust
• 100% recycling of paper and plastic packaging materials
